Motherhood is full of joys, but also has times of struggles. When raising children, you can become overwhelmed and unsure of where to turn or what to do next. As the children grow, schedules become hectic and there are more demands on your time.
While most parenting books talk about parenting strategies, the areas that are often overlooked is managing your own energy and time, as well as realizing your own personal goals. When you are worn down, overwhelmed and feeling like you are running on a treadmill, you don't have the energy to give your best to your family, work, community, or yourself! This can lead to feelings of guilt, shame, frustration, regret and anger.
Sometimes in the midst of trying to get everything done in a day, you may begin to wonder "what about me? where do I fit into this?". Sorting out your own personal life goals is important too.
Through counselling sessions I help you learn ways to cope with the everyday stresses and strains of motherhood, to feel more confident about the decision you make for you and your family.
